Iola Mae Hise, 87, of Farmington, N.M., passed from this life on Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2011, in Durango, Colo.
She was born Sept. 1, 1924, in Klondike, Texas. Iola was preceded in death by her loving husband, Earle, and their daughter, Vivian Grundy. She is survived by her loving children: sons, Raymond and wife Paulette, Glenn and wife Karen, and a daughter, Leeona Garlitz; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was a loving, gentle and kind spirit who loved her family and, above all, her Heavenly Father. She was a solid rock that her family could always count on. We love you, Mom, Grandma and Grandmommie.
Viewing will be from 11 a.m.-noon Monday, Sept. 26, 2011, with services following at 1:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church Aztec, 700 Navajo Ave, Aztec, N.M. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Olton Cemetery in Olton, Texas. Viewing will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9-10:15 a.m. Wednesday at Ramage Funeral Home, 715 W. Ninth Street, Olton, Texas.
