James Bruce Allen, 62, of Olton, died Saturday, May 27, 2023, in Lubbock, Texas.  Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at Olton Cemetery with Pastor Kyle Brock officiating and under the care of Ramage Funeral Directors.  Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at Ramage Funeral Directors in Olton.

The only child of James Alfred and Gladys Katherine (Hasha) Allen, James Bruce Allen was born March 23, 1961, in Olton, Texas. He graduated from Olton High School in 1979. Bruce was a farmer and enjoyed days working with his dad on the farm.  Fishing and spending time at the lake were his favorite activities as he lived at Lake Possum Kingdom (Graham, Texas) from 2012 to 2021. Proud of his two sons and grandchildren, Bruce was a wonderful father, grandfather, and friend and he will be dearly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Katherine Allen.

Survivors include his sons, Chris Allen and wife Chelsi of Olton and Brad Allen of Las Vegas, New Mexico.  He was blessed with two grandchildren, Pate and Maggie Allen.
