Jean Byers, 85, of Springlake, died Wednesday, May 2, 2012, in Olton. Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M., Saturday, May 5, 2012 at Littlefield Memorial Park with Brother Glenn Harlin officiating and under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.

Jean was born June 24, 1926 in Lubbock, Texas to Jeff and Mattie Brown Perkins. She married Roy Lee Byers on November 29, 1943 in Oakland, CA. In 1950, she moved to Springlake from Littlefield and was a member of the First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy in 2006, a son, Ricky Byers in 2007, and a grandson, Blake Byers in 1982.

Jean is survived by her son, Danny Byers and his wife, Cynthia of Springlake, her daughter-in-law, Pansy Byers of Ruidoso, N.M., two brothers, Billy Perkins and his wife, Joyce of Amarillo and Douglas Perkins and his wife, Jackie of Amarillo. She was blessed with five grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
