Jean McCarver, 90, of Hale Center, died Saturday, June 8, 2024, in Plainview, Texas.  Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at Jerusalem Community Baptist Church, in Hale Center, with Pastor Terry Wright officiating and under the care of Ramage Funeral Directors.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at Ramage Funeral Directors in Hale Center.

Clara Jean was born January 30, 1934, in Floyd County, Texas, to George Harrison and Cora (Estes) Pigg.  She moved to Hale Center in 1955 and was a beautician for many years.  On February 18, 1956, Jean married the love of her life, Robert McCarver, and they were married over 65 years.  Jean loved gardening and growing beautiful flowers. She was also a talented painter and enjoyed painting ceramics. Most of all, Jean loved her family and she will be missed dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert McCarver, in 2021, and seven brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her sons, Kevin McCarver and wife Kim of Midland and Kelly McCarver and wife Shelly of Lubbock. She was blessed with six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
