Jenny Sue Oliver

Jenny Sue Oliver, 71, of Olton, Texas passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2026. She was born on August 31, 1954, in Levelland, Texas, to Jack and Barbara (Jones) Milburn.

Jenny graduated from Muleshoe High School in 1972 and continued her education at West Texas State, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in 1976. On May 20, 1979, she married Steve Oliver. Jenny and her family moved to Olton in 1988, and she taught school at Olton ISD for 21 years before retiring in 2009. Jenny was also a longtime member of Olton Methodist Church.

Jenny was a strong advocate for physical fitness and enjoyed staying active throughout her life. She shared that passion with others by teaching Jazzercise and always enjoyed a good workout. Some of her favorite times were spent at Lake LBJ, where she could relax and enjoy time with those closest to her. Jenny also loved playing cards and games and treasured the fun and fellowship that came along with them.

Above all, Jenny loved her family and friends. She cherished the time she spent with her children and grandchildren and the memories they made together. Whether spending time at the lake, playing a game, exercising, or simply enjoying the company of those she loved, Jenny valued the relationships she built throughout her life.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Steve Oliver of Olton, Texas; her son, Martin Oliver and wife Jennifer of Olton, Texas; her daughter, Laura Oliver of Pflugerville, Texas; her brother, Billy Jack Milburn of Amarillo, Texas; and her grandchildren, Barrett Oliver and Clancy Oliver. Jenny is preceded in death by her parents, Jack Milburn and Barbara Jones.

A memorial graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 28, 2026, at Olton Cemetery, with Pastor Kyle Brock officiating.
