Joaquin Hernandez, 41, of Olton died Sunday, April 12, 2009, in Olton. Services are 2:00 PM, Wednesday, April 15, 2009, at Trinity Baptist Church with Pastor Ismael Gomez officiating. Interment will follow at Olton Cemetery under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.

Joaquin was born August 3, 1967 in Olton to Nabor and Maria Hernandez. He was a lifetime Olton resident and member of Trinity Baptist Church. He was employed by South Plains Irrigation.

Joaquin is survived by his mother, Maria Barrera of Olton, two sons, Joaquin Hernandez Jr. of Lubbock and Manuel Quinn Hernandez of Olton, one daughter, Kendra Isela Hernandez of Olton, three brothers, Nabor Hernandez Jr., Carlos Hernandez, and Rene Hernandez all of Olton, four sisters, Silvia Nieto, Elissa Contreras, Virginia Jimenez, and Janie Ramirez all of Olton, and one granddaughter, Mercedes Hernandez.
