Born October 4, 1971, in Dallas, Texas, to Juan and Gina Carrasco, Joe was lovingly raised by his grandparents, Jose and Estella Carrasco.  Joe would proudly proclaim "I've lived in Olton since I was 10 days old" and was a beloved member of the Olton community.  He graduated from Olton High School in 1990 where he was an excellent three point shooter on the basketball court.  A lover of all sports, Joe was a faithful supporter of the Olton Mustangs, the Dallas Cowboys, and the Los Angeles Dodgers. Known for being a prankster and his sense of humor, Joe had a nickname for most people he knew.

"Live life to the fullest and make a difference along the way", reflects the life of Joe Carrasco.  Joe was an evangelist for 14 years and changed many lives while serving in Kermit, Texas, for three years before moving back to Olton in 2014.  For the last seven years, Joe served at Main Street Church of Christ in Olton and at Northwest Church of Christ in Plainview.  Joe was a member of the Lord's Church and was passionate about doing the work of the Kingdom.  A humble and generous soul, Joe would greet you with a big smile, a huge hug, and a reminder that you should always be ready to meet the Lord.

Family time was a priority for Joe.  He enjoyed going to the movies and going to eat breakfast with his son, Jacob.  He never missed a Friday haircut or the annual Turkey Bowl family football game. He loved spending time with his two boys and especially his precious granddaughter.

Joe was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jose and Estella Carrasco, a brother, Luis Manuel Carrasco, a nephew, Luis Manuel Carrasco, Jr., a niece, Dominique Carrasco, and a cousin, Rosendo Carrasco, Jr.

Those left to cherish his memory include his sons, Dallas Carrasco and his wife Abril of Lubbock and Jacob Carrasco and his wife Kimberly of San Angelo and all his many brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.  He was blessed with a granddaughter, Jaylee Kate Carrasco.
