Joe Angel Soliz, 50, of Olton, died Sunday, January 16, 2022, in Lubbock. Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at St. Peter's Catholic Church, with Fr. George Poonely officiating.  Interment will follow at Olton Cemetery under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.  Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 18, at Ramage Funeral Directors.

Joe Angel was born March 22, 1971, in Olton, Texas, to A.J. and Lydia (Vasquez) Soliz.  A lifetime Olton resident, Joe Angel graduated from Olton High School in 1989 and was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church.  Spending time with his friends and family was very important to Joe Angel.  His mother, brothers, sisters, and especially his nieces and nephews, were special to him and he will be dearly missed.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, his father, A.J. Soliz, in 1993, and a nephew, Chris Soliz, in 2008.

Survivors include his mother, Lydia Soliz of Olton, five brothers, Joe Soliz and his wife Rachel of Lamesa, Tony Soliz and his wife Susan, Albert Soliz and his wife Karla, Freddy Soliz, and Adrian Soliz, all of Olton, and two sisters, Paula Vasquez and her husband Joe of Olton and Minnie Perez and her husband Henry of Lubbock.  He was blessed with numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
