Obituary
John W. Ratliff, 87, died Friday, June 29, 2018, at home in Plainview, Texas. He was born in a log cabin in Cooper, Texas to William and Mildred (Small) Ratliff. He was a medic for the U.S. Army during the Korean War and an upholsterer by trade for over 50 years.
He is preceded in death by wife, Patty (Goebel) Ratliff and is survived by a brother, Charles Ratliff of Olton, Texas and a sister, Liz Clark of Irving, Texas. He leaves three children, Tony Ratliff and wife Amy of Plainview, Tonya Ratliff of Plainview, and Linda (Ratliff) Davis and husband Bryan of Belton, Texas. He also had six wonderful grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A memorial service is set for Sunday, August 5, 2018, at 3:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church in Olton, Texas.
Donations can be sent to the American Cancer Society.
