Obituary
Jose Sanchez, Jr., 61, of Olton, died Thursday, February 21, 2013, in Lubbock. Services will be at 2:00 P.M., Monday, February 25, 2013, at the First Baptist Church in Olton with Mr. Valentine Martinez officiating. Interment will follow at Olton Cemetery under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.
Jose was born September 22, 1951 in Beeville, Texas to Jose Sanchez, Sr. and Tomasa Soliz Sanchez. He moved to Olton in 1962 and was a catholic. He married Maria Gonzalez and was a truckdriver. Jose loved to fish, watch TV, and spend time with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Survivors include his wife, Maria Sanchez of Hereford, four sons: Jaime Sanchez of Conroe, Joe Sanchez of Woodsville, Tony Sanchez of Paynesville, MN, and Billy Sanchez of Olton, his daughter, Mary Jane Gonzales of Dimmitt, three brothers: San Juan Sanchez of Bay City, Tomas Sanchez of Olton, and Jimmy Sanchez of Gatesville, and one sister, Rosie Sanchez of Plainview. He was blessed with ten grandchildren.
A rosary will be held at 5:00 P.M., Sunday, February 24, 2013, at the funeral home.
