Jose Ramirez San Juan, 63, of Olton, died Thursday, September 17, 2020, in Lubbock.  Rosary will be said at 6:00 p.m., Sunday, September 20, 2020, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Olton.  Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 21, 2020, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Olton with Fr. Jacob Powell as celebrant.  Interment will follow at Olton Cemetery under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.  Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m., Saturday, September 19, and 12:00 to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, September 20, at Ramage Funeral Directors in Olton.

Jose was born July 1, 1957, in Caltimacan, Hidalgo, Mexico, to Sabino and Bruna (Ramirez) San Juan.  He married Lucy Rodriguez on December 20, 1976.  Moving to Olton in 1981, Jose was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church.  He was very involved and dedicated to his church and was a member of the Cursillistas.  A very hard-working man who could never sit still, Jose was the best husband, father, and grandfather ever.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Gloria San Juan, and a brother, Placido San Juan.

Survivors include his wife, Lucy San Juan of Olton, two sons, Jose Luis San Juan of Lubbock and Jesus David San Juan of Lubbock, three daughters, Rachel Martinez of Belton, MO, Florencia Angelita Trejo of Belton, MO, and Teresa Lee Guerrero of Olton, four brothers, Pedro San Juan of Hamlin, Alejo San Juan, Diego San Juan, and David San Juan, all of Hidalgo, Mexico, and two sisters, Maria San Juan of Mexico City and Marcelina San Juan of Hidalgo, Mexico.  He was blessed with 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
