Josie Garcia, 65, of Olton, died Sunday, July 16, 2017, in Olton. Rosary will be said at 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Olton. Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at St. Peter's Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Olton Cemetery under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.
Josie was born November 6, 1951, in Olton, to Frederico and Josepha Zamora DeLaRosa. She married Raul Garcia and was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. She worked as a housekeeper at Runningwater Draw Care Center in Olton for 20 years. Josie loved her flowers and gardening, cooking for her family, and spending time with her grandchildren. Most of all, she was very strong in her faith and greatly loved her Lord.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raul T. Garcia, in 2013, her father, two sisters, and a brother.
Survivors include her mother, Josie Zamora DeLaRosa of Olton, three sons, Roy Garcia, Robert Garcia, and David Garcia and his wife, Savannah, all of Olton, four daughters, Angie Reyna and her husband, Froilan, Elizabeth Pointer, Jennifer Garcia, and Amanda Garcia, all of Olton, two brothers, Oscar DeLaRosa and Daniel DeLaRosa, both of Olton, and a sister, Maggie DeLaRosa of Olton. She was blessed with 22 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
