Juan J. Silva, 74, of Dimmitt and formerly of Olton, died Sunday, March 27, 2022, in Dimmitt, Texas.  No services are scheduled at this time.  Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.

Juan was born April 28, 1947, in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico, to Julio and Esperanza Silva.  He was a farmer in the Olton area for many years.  Juan enjoyed working in his garden and taking care of his chickens.

Juan is preceded in death by his parents, a son, Albert Silva, in 1996, a brother, Armando Silva, and a sister, Martha Silva.

Survivors include his daughters, Cindy Jimenez of Dumas, Janie Silva of Amarillo, and Josie Silva of Dimmitt, his sons, Joe Silva of Amarillo, Christopher Silva and Angel Silva, both of Illinois, a brother, Beto Silva of Crystal City, and three sisters, Rosy Guerra of Piedras Negras, Malena Rosas of Abernathy, and Hilda Sanchez of Eagle Pass.  He was blessed with seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
