Juanita Amaya, 98, of Olton, died Monday, May 21, 2012 in Olton. Rosary will be said at 7:00 P.M., Friday, May 25, 2012 at St. Peter Catholic Church in Olton. Mass will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, May 26, 2012 at St. Peter Catholic Church with Fr. John Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Olton Cemetery under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.

Juanita was born November 22, 1913 in Marion, Texas to Ramon and Juanita Contreraz. She married Catarino Amaya on October 7, 1930. She moved to Olton in 1952 and was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Catarino Amaya, in 1969, three sons, Jessie Amaya, Erminio Amaya, and Miguel Amaya, and three daughters, Angela Suarez, Gloria Amaya, and Maria Amaya.

Survivors include five sons, Eddie Amaya of Plainview, Eriberto Amaya of Olton, Eluterio Amaya of Olton, Enrique Amaya of Ft. Worth, and Emilio Amaya of Olton, two daughters, Eusevia Garza of North Carolina and Endina Jimenez of Olton. She was blessed with 39 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
