June "Bug" Green, 88, of Muleshoe, died Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at her home in Muleshoe, Texas.  A memorial service has been scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Monday, August 12, 2024, at Trinity Church in Muleshoe, with Mr. Reydon Stanford officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the care of Ramage Funeral Directors in Olton.

June was born December 8, 1935, in Hale Center, Texas, to Erle and Evelyn Thompson.  She graduated from Hale Center High School in 1952 and attended New Mexico Junior College, in Hobbs, New Mexico, where she received her registered nurse license. On March 8, 1975, June married Crispin Green, in Littlefield, Texas. Moving to Muleshoe in 1985, June was Dr. Allgood's nurse for over 23 years, worked at Parkview Nursing Home, and was a home health nurse.  June had a servant's heart and was very compassionate.  She was constantly reading and learning more about nursing and was caring to everyone. A life member of the Rebekah Lodge, June was the past president of the Rebekah Lodge in Muleshoe. June "Bug", as many knew her, was a caring and loving wife, mother, sister, and friend and will be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Lola Jones in 2017, and two brothers.

Survivors include her husband, Crispin Green of Muleshoe, son, Monty Jones of El Paso and two daughters, Dorena Proudfoot of Sweetwater and Tammy Jones of Lubbock.  She was blessed with eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
