Kerry Don Wheeler, 60, of Olton, died Tuesday, March 26, in Plainview. Services will be at 2:00 P.M., Friday, March 29, 2013, at the First United Methodist Church in Olton with Brother Larry Holder officiating. Interment will follow at Olton Cemetery under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.

Kerry Don was born March 20, 1953, in Amherst to Thomas and Mary Dudley Wheeler. Retiring in 2012 as a mechanic, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and welding. He was a lifetime area resident, a Methodist, and will be remembered for being a gentle man.

He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Wheeler in 1985 and a sister, Laura Wheeler.

Survivors include his mother, Mary Wheeler of Olton, two sons, Garrett B. Wheeler and his wife, Molly of Lubbock and Derek R. Thomas and his wife, Clelia of Plainview; two daughters, Mary Beth Wheeler of Lubbock and Savannah Dawn Billington of Kennesaw, GA; and two brothers, Ted Wheeler of Cross Plains and Alan Wheeler of Lockney. He was blessed with four grandchildren, Evan Wheeler, Sarah Wheeler, Thomas Wheeler, and Samuel Thomas.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, March 28, from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M.
