Kevin Blount, 46, of Olton, was called home Friday, January 7, 2022, in Plainview, Texas.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 15, 2022, at Main Street Church of Christ, in Olton, with Mr. Callen Pinkerton and Evangelist Dallas Carrasco officiating.  Interment will follow at Olton Cemetery under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, January 14, 2022, at Ramage Funeral Directors in Olton.

Kevin was born December 3, 1975, in Plainview, Texas, to Bobby and Jan Blount.  He moved to Olton in 1988 and graduated from Olton High School in 1994.  On October 2, 1999, he married his best friend, the love of his life, Lacey Bunce, in Olton.  Kevin's work life was spent doing what he loved with Craig DeBerry, Charlie T. Burrus, and Monty McFadden, who became his most valued friends and trusted mentors.  He was a faithful member and servant of the Main Street Church of Christ.  A board member of the Olton Jr. Livestock Association, Kevin was known for helping young men and women enjoy the experience that he loved as a young man. Kevin, first and foremost, was the Christian husband, father, friend, mentor, and confidante, of all those that loved him, and he, unconditionally, loved back expecting nothing in return.

Kevin was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Buster Blount, his maternal grandparents, James and Alice Lawson, a stepbrother, Danny Steffe, and his father-in-law, Nicky Green.

Survivors include his wife, Lacey Blount of Olton, his sons, Kade Blount and his fiancé, Chelsey, of Olton and Kyle Blount of Olton, his father, Bobby Blount and his wife Shirley of Clifton, Texas, his mother, Jan Steffe and her husband Steve of Plainview, his paternal grandmother, Rita Young and her husband Billy of Plainview, his brother, Patrick Blount and his wife Linda of Hamilton, Texas and several aunts and uncles.
