Laura Yvonne Smith, 76, of Plainview, died Monday, December 23, 2024, at her home in Plainview, Texas. Arrangements are under the care of Ramage Funeral Directors of Hale Center. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 9th and Columbia Church of Christ, in Plainview, with Mr. Evan Weiss officiating.

Laura was born November 25, 1948, in Elizabeth Town, North Carolina, to Luther and Mahoma (Patterson) Mann. Moving back to Plainview from California in 1976, Laura married Michael Smith on March 9, 1976. A member of 9th and Columbia Church of Christ, Laura worked as a nurse in Plainview for many years.

Laura was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Michael Smith, in 2006, a brother Shelby Mann, and a daughter-in-law, Stacy Best.

Survivors include her sons, Denny Price and Randy Price, both of Plainview and three sisters, Sylvia Hatton of Lubbock and Dana Moon and Cathryn Hughes, both of Tyler. She was blessed with three grandchildren: Mitchell Price, Channing Best, and Dalon Ramirez and three great-grandchildren: Chloe, Evy, and Sydney.
