Logan Elizabeth "Nig" Hopper, 88, of Olton, died Monday, July 13, 2020, in Olton.  Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 7:00 pm, Sunday, July 19, 2020, at Ramage Funeral Directors in Olton.  Private family services will be held at Olton Cemetery and under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.

Nig was born July 20, 1931, in Dunlap, Texas, to Logan and Fleta (Kirkland) Walters.  Moving to Olton in the early 1950's, Nig was a member of the First Baptist Church.  She and her husband, Major James, owned White's Auto in Olton, for many years, before he passed away.  She later married Roy Hopper.  Nig was named Olton's "Woman of the Year" in 1985 and she was very instrumental in the opening of the Runningwater Draw Care Center in Olton.

Nig was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, Major James and Roy Hopper, two sisters, Glenna Walters and Louise Thompson, two nieces, Linda Thompson and Melanie Walters, and a great-nephew, Kyle Kunzman.

Survivors include two brothers, Kirk Walters and wife Gail of Germantown, TN and Butch Walters and wife Brenda of Albuquerque, NM, three nephews, Roger Thompson, Jeff Walters, and Dustin Walters, and two nieces, Ronda Lewis and Spring Kunzman.  She was blessed with seven great-nephews: Logan Walters, Jeffrey Walters, Daniel Walters, Gavin Lewis, Carson Lewis, Michael Walters, and Wezley Walters and six great-nieces: Rachel Walters, Monica Lewis, Madeline Lewis, Kaylee Kunzman, Zoey Zamora, and Ana Walters.

The family wishes to thank Nig's special friends: Don and Helen Franks, Marilyn Smith, Jesus DeLaCruz, Brian and Carole Hunt, and Belinda Giles.
