Obituary
Lowell "Mick" McGill passed away Saturday, July 5, 2008 in Lubbock.
Services will be at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at Main Street Church of Christ in Olton. Burial will follow at Olton Cemetery.
Mr. McGill was born August 21, 1926 in Lamb County to Thomas Elmer McGill and Lillie Lee Moore. He married Lola Jo Dent, November 11, 1945 in Plainview. He was a farmer and member of Main Street Church of Christ. Mick also served on the board for the Olton Coop Gin. He moved to Lubbock from Olton in 1986.
Survivors include his wife, Jo McGill of Lubbock, his son, Dent McGill of Portales, N.M., six grandchildren, Lisa Neufeld, Danson and Dusty Cook, John-Hayden, Haylee, and Brayden McGill, and four great grandchildren, Aldan, Julia, Keaton, and Cole.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lynn Bartley in 2005, two brothers, and two sisters.
Memorials may be made to a favorite children's home.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 8 PM, Tuesday, July 8, 2008.
