Luis Jimenez, 63, of Olton, died Thursday, September 8, 2016, in Lubbock. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, September 13, 2016, at the First Baptist Church in Olton with Brother David Azam officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors of Olton.

Jose Luis Jimenez was born August 22, 1953, in Muleshoe, TX, to Reymundo and Paula (Rocha) Jimenez. A lifetime Olton resident, Luis was a member of the First Baptist Church. He married Virginia Espinosa on September 14, 1980, in Littlefield. Luis loved all sports, both playing and watching. He especially loved playing golf and watching the Dallas Cowboys. Spending time with his family was important to Luis. Throughout his time spent at dialysis, he enjoyed visiting with all of his dialysis family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Reymundo Jimenez and a brother, Freddy Jimenez.

Survivors include his mother, Paula Jimenez of Olton, his wife, Virginia Jimenez of Olton, two daughters, Rachel Romero and her husband, Mark of Olton and Ruby Jimenez of Olton, four brothers, Johnny Jimenez and his wife, Barbara of Levelland, Tony Jimenez and his wife, Sanny of Olton, Pete Jimenez of Olton, and Manuel Jimenez and his wife, Mary Ann of Olton, two sisters, Susan Rivera and her husband, Paul of Olton and Irene Pedroza and her husband, Mike of Lubbock, and numerous nieces and nephews. Luis didn't have grandchildren as of yet, but was blessed with a granddog.
