Luis Pedroza, 79, of Olton, died Wednesday, February 3, 2016, in Lubbock. Rosary will be said at 7:00 P.M., Friday, February 5, 2016, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Olton. Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, February 6, at St. Peter's Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Olton Cemetery under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.
Luis was born August 18, 1936, in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, to Rafael and Porfiria (Garcia) Pedroza. He married Teresa Rosales on August 22, 1957, in San Luis Potosi. In 1977, Luis and Teresa moved to Olton from Chicago. He was a farmer and member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. Spending time with family was very important to Luis. He enjoyed holidays, dancing, and parties with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Joe Pedroza and JuanLuis Pedroza, a son-in-law, Ernesto Contreras, and a granddaughter, Sally Lee Pedroza.
Survivors include his wife, Teresa Pedroza of Olton, two sons, Oscar Pedroza and his wife, Sylvia of Amarillo and Luis R. Pedroza and his wife, Soledad of Olton, five daughters, Leticia Contreras of Olton, Adriana Rosales and her husband, Ruben of Colorado, Carmen Lopez and her husband, Hector of Hart, Isabel Mojica and her husband, Richard of Olton, and Maria Pedroza of Olton, two brothers, Andres Pedroza and his wife, Blanca of Olton and Rafael Pedroza and his wife, Alicia of Chicago, and two sisters, Socorro Pedroza and Guadalupe Pedroza, both of Olton. He was blessed with 22 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
