Marcus Anfernee Jimenez, 23, of Olton, died Tuesday, July 10, 2018, in Lubbock.  Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, July 13, 2018, at the Olton High School Auditorium with Brother David Azam officiating and under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.

Marcus was born March 18, 1995, in Plainview, to Manuel and Mary Ann (Hernandez) Jimenez.  Growing up in Olton, he graduated from Olton High School in 2013 and attended South Plains College and Texas Tech University.  In 2017, Marcus joined the United States Air Force and was an Airman 1st Class in Clovis, New Mexico.  Marcus had a contagious laugh and a golden smile.  He enjoyed listening to music, drawing, and playing golf.  Most of all, Marcus loved spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Raymundo Jimenez.

Those left to cherish his memory include his parents, Manuel and Mary Ann Jimenez of Olton, his paternal grandmother, Paula Jimenez of Olton, his maternal grandparents, Matias and Juanita Hernandez of Dimmitt, his brother, Matthew Jimenez of Lubbock and his niece, Piper Jimenez of Lubbock.

The family suggests memorials be left in Marcus' name to a favorite charity.
