Margarita "Maggie" DeLaRosa, 68, of Olton, died Monday, September 25, 2023, in Lubbock, Texas. Maggie was born in Olton, Texas, January 17, 1955, to Federico DeLaRosa II and Josefita (Zamora) DeLaRosa.

Maggie was a lifetime Olton resident and was a Catholic.  She was an amazing cook and enjoyed watching her soaps.  Maggie also loved to go to garage sales and had a wonderful sense of humor.  A caretaker at heart, Maggie cared for her mother whenever needed.  Visiting and spending time with family was important to Maggie.  Most of all, she loved her grandchildren and she will be dearly missed.

Maggie was preceded in death by her father, Federico DeLaRosa II, two brothers, Federico "June" DeLaRosa III and Daniel DeLaRosa, two sisters, Josie Garcia and Reyna Molina, and a grandson, Noe Ramos Chavez.

Survivors include her mother, Josefita DeLaRosa of Olton, her son, Ray Cortez, Jr. of Lubbock, three daughters, Priscilla Cortez of Lubbock, Christina Cortez of Lubbock, and Claudia Cortez of Dimmitt, and a brother, Oscar "Chief" DeLaRosa of Olton.  She was blessed with eight grandchildren.

Private family services will be held at Olton Cemetery under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.
