Margie Coen, 88, of Olton, died Wednesday, July 22, 2020, in Olton.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm, Friday, July 24, 2020, at the First United Methodist Church in Olton with Pastor Sammy Espinosa, Brother Patrick Hamilton, and Rev. Wesley Putnam officiating.  Interment will follow at Littlefield Cemetery in Littlefield under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.  Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 7:00pm, Thursday, July 23, 2020, at Ramage Funeral Directors.

Margie was born April 6, 1932, in Hale County, just outside of Olton,  to Samuel Ezra and Hazel (Moss) Whittington.  She married Leonard Carlisle on April 10, 1948, he preceded her in death in 1952.  She married Bob Coen August 10, 1958, and he preceded her in death in 1989.  Margie worked as the bookkeeper for Circle Gin and for Olton State Bank.  She also could be found working at Leon's Grocery and Pay N Save over the years.  She was a lifetime Olton resident and member of the First United Methodist Church.  She was a scout leader and taught Sunday school for many years.  Margie had a mission heart and served as an EMT and worked with special needs adults.  She was one of the first board member at the Runningwater Draw Care Center and served in that capacity for many years.  She also served as an officer and volunteer with RSVP in Plainview.  A member of the Red Hat Society, Margie enjoyed playing Bunko and spending time with her family.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and two children, Mark Coen and Lori Coen.

Survivors include her son, Kevin Coen of Santa Fe, two daughters, Melody Hebert and husband Forrest of Amarillo and Kim Willis and husband Tim of Plains, and two sisters, Mozelle Trotter of Olton and Donna Neinast and husband Phil of Springlake.  She was blessed with 10 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
