Maria Guadalupe Ibanez, 70, of Olton, died Tuesday, September 29, 2020, in Olton. Rosary will be said at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, October 1, 2020, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Olton.  A private family mass will be held on Friday, October 2, 2020, with interment at Olton Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Thursday, October 1, at Ramage Funeral Directors in Olton.

Maria was born November 3, 1949, in Prajedis Guerrero, Chihuahua, Mexico, to Luis and Maria (Chavez) Rodriguez.  She married Victor Ibanez, Sr. on February 5, 1968, and was a homemaker.  Moving to Olton in 1974, Maria was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church.  She was very involved in many aspects of the church, including being a member of the Guadalupanas.  Maria enjoyed travelling, reading, being outdoors, and going to yard sales.  She also had a gift and a love for cooking.  Most of all, Maria loved spending time with her grandchildren and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Luis Rodriguez.

Survivors include her husband, Victor Ibanez, Sr. of Olton, two sons, Victor Ibanez, Jr. and his wife Maria of Baltimore, Maryland and Adrian Ibanez and his wife Maria of Big Spring, four daughters, Claudia Cordova and her husband Kevin of Clovis, Monica Villanueva of Olton, Dolores Ibanez and husband Uvaldo Rivera of Olton, and Imelda Ibanez and husband Nathan Hand of Amarillo, and a sister, Irene Rosas of Friona.  She was blessed with 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
