Martin Esquivel, 58, of Olton, died Friday, February 16, 2024, in Plainview, Texas.  Rosary will be said at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at Ramage Funeral Directors in Olton.  Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 22, 2024, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Olton with Fr. Reymundo Manriquez officiating.  Interment will follow at Olton Cemetery under the care of Ramage Funeral Directors.  Visitation will be held from 12:00 to 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at Ramage Funeral Directors.

Martin was born March 6, 1965, in Abernathy, Texas, to Esteban Jr. and Juanita (Sanchez) Esquivel. A lifetime Olton resident, Martin was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church.  He was very kind-hearted and had a love for animals, especially dogs and cats.  Never having children of his own, Martin helped raise and care for his nieces and nephews.  He coached his nephew and other community kids in baseball for over seven years and helped at many a stock show.  Always willing to lend a helping hand, Martin was a great friend to many.  He enjoyed listening to music, watching action movies, and grilling out.  Most of all, Martin loved his family and always enjoyed when they could all be together.

Martin was preceded in death by his parents, Esteban, Jr. and Juanita Esquivel.

Survivors include his brothers, Juan Esquivel and wife Trini of Olton and Esteban Esquivel III and wife Graciela of Olton and his sister, Sylvia E. Martinez and husband Danny of Wolfforth.  He was blessed with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
