Mary Jane Escalante, 58, of Earth, died Sunday, July 21, 2019.  No services are scheduled at this time.  Cremation arrangements are under the care of Ramage Funeral Directors in Olton.

Mary Jane was born April 24, 1961, in Levelland, Texas, to Domingo and Petra (Castillo) Polando.  On July 19, 1979, Mary Jane married Thomas Escalante in Earth and they were married 40 years.  A lifetime Earth area resident, Mary Jane was a homemaker and the best cook ever.  She was a very loving mother and enjoyed getting together with her family.  Mary Jane especially loved her dog and her grandchildren.  She will be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her father, Domingo Polando.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas Escalante of Earth, her mother, Petra Polando of Earth, four sons, Fabian Escalante of Del Rio, Gabriel Escalante of Lubbock, Javier Escalante of Earth, and Thomas Escalante, Jr. of Earth, three brothers, and four sisters.  She was blessed with six grandchildren.
