She married Thomas Tas Seawright in 1953 in Tucumcari, N.M. Mary loved the Lord and had a servant's heart. She never met a stranger and always had a kind word and funny sense of humor. She loved her family, friends, and community wholeheartedly. Her life experiences ranged from traveling throughout Mexico on a donkey and hoeing and picking the cotton fields. She also worked at the local drug store for 33 years, managed the Dairy Queen for five years, and was a home health caregiver until the very end of her life. Dancing, playing softball, and dominoes were some of her favorite things to do. She will be missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Thomas, in 1989, brother, Roberto Rodriguez, and sisters, Romana Rodriguez, Lucy Flores, and Rosa Hernandez.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Thomas Seawright and wife Ester of Olton, two grandchildren, Thomas Seawright, Jr. of Lubbock and Jacqueline Pate and favorite grandson-in-law Wade of Carrollton and a great-granddaughter, Avery Pate.
