Nadine Casarez, 72, of Olton, passed from this life on Monday, February 6, 2023, in Dallas, Texas. Rosary will be said at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, February 9, 2023, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Olton. Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 10, 2023, at St. Peter's Catholic Church with Fr. Jeremy Trull officiating. Interment will follow at Olton Cemetery under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 5:30 p.m., Thursday, February 9, at Ramage Funeral Directors.
Nadine was born October 30, 1950, in Olton, Texas, to Antonio and Ernesta (Zamora) Nabarrete. A lifetime area and Olton resident, Nadine was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. She worked as a teacher's assistant at Olton ISD for many years. Nadine was always shopping for a good deal and loved attending garage and estate sales. She cherished spending time with family, whether it was at a sporting event or playing dominos and board games. Nadine enjoyed watching crime shows and Lifetime on TV. She also spent time baking, crafting and dancing.
She was preceded in death by her father, Antonio Nabarrete, her partner, Benjamin Martinez, a granddaughter, Destiny Marie Oteyza, and a niece, Erica Rodriguez.
Survivors include her mother, Ernesta Nabarrete of Olton, two sons, Juan Antonio Casarez and his wife Maile of Garland and Alejandro Casarez and his wife Valerie of Amarillo, her daughter, Cathy Casarez and her partner Tony Garrido of Dallas, three sisters, Linda Rodriguez of Garland, Silvia Nabarrete of Abilene, and Ester Chavez and her partner David Perez of Plainview, three nephews, Eleazar Rodriguez, Anthony Chavez, and Elijah Mojica, and one niece, Melissa Franco. She was blessed with seven grandchildren: Gloria Cossio, Angelica Oteyza, Emilio Oteyza, Francisco Oteyza, Felipe Zamora, Ruben Zamora, and Leilani Zamora and four great-grandchildren: Prophet, Isabella, Julien, and Axel Jr.
