Obituary

Nancy Carson, 72, of Olton, died Monday, June 6, 2016, in Lubbock. Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, June 8, at the First Baptist Church in Olton with Brother Patrick Hamilton officiating. Interment will follow at Olton Cemetery under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors of Olton. The family will receive friends at Ramage Funeral Directors in Olton from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, June 7, 2016.

Nancy was born May 14, 1944 in Reno, Nevada, to Guy and Willa (Holtzclaw) Walsworth. She graduated from UCLA with a business degree and was a bank manager. On October 3, 1970, she married Don Carson in Ontario, California. Nancy moved to Olton in 1999 from Lebanon, Oregon and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Sweet Home, Oregon. She could sing like an angel and was a voracious reader. Nancy enjoyed painting, playing the piano, camping, and was known in the family as the Skip-Bo Queen.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Jericho Crandall.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Don Carson of Olton, four daughters, Robyn Carson and her husband, Wayne of Olton, Julie Crandall of Lubbock, Becky Deller and her husband, Eric of Del Mar, CA, and Donna Carson of Calimesa, CA, one son, Kelly Carson of Olton, and two half-brothers, Joel Walsworth of Oregon and John Hayes of Louisiana. She was blessed with fifteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
