Olga Valdez, 65, of Olton, passed away Friday, June 18, 2021 in Olton.  She was born November 1, 1955 in Durango, Mexico to Fortunato Valdez and Amelia (Mendoza) Valdez.

Olga enjoyed gardening, reading, playing on her tablet and watching movies.  She liked doing arts and crafts, sewing and making ceramics.  She was an avid Seraphim Angel collector.  Olga was a fighter and a very strong woman.  Those who knew her would say she was feisty and stubborn, but she was a very loving and sentimental woman.  More than anything, she loved her family, especially her son Gabriel.  She was a Catholic.

Olga is survived by her son, Gabriel Hernandez of Midland; a brother Jesse Valdez and wife Doris of Olton; five sisters, Terri Sandoval, Leticia Falcon and husband Junior, Dolores Russell and husband David and Dora Flores all of Olton and Yolanda Azua and husband Rocky of Plainview; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Services will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday June 24, 2021 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Lubbock with Father Martin Pina officiant.  Interment will follow in City of Lubbock Cemetery.  Rosary will be recited at 4:30 p.m., Wednesday evening at the funeral home.  Arrangements are under the care of Ramage Funeral Directors in Olton, Texas.
