Ollie Smith, 100, of Olton, died Monday, January 24, 2022, in Olton.  Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 27, 2022, at Olton Cemetery, with Evangelist Dallas Carrasco of Main Street Church of Christ officiating and under the care of Ramage Funeral Directors.  Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Thursday, January 27, at Ramage Funeral Directors in Olton.

James Ollie Smith was born January 5, 1922, in Prague, Oklahoma, to Robert and Elizabeth (Scrimshire) Smith.  On February 14, 1946, Ollie married the love of his life, Ruby Morris, in Loop, Texas.  They moved to Olton in 1950.  Ollie worked at the Olton Post Office as a postal clerk for over 25 years and owned and operated Olton's EZ Way Laundry for over 65 years.  He was a member of the Church of Christ and for 13 years, Ollie and Ruby served as the caretakers of Olton Cemetery.

Ollie is preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Smith, in 2012, his daughter, Oleta Bennett in 2018, and a son-in-law, Jimmy Wayne Bennett, in 2010.

Ollie is survived by his son, Larry Smith of Olton and two grandchildren.
