Omar "Totito" Chavez-Dominguez, 36, of Hart, died Thursday, May 27, 2021, in Lubbock, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at Trinity Baptist Church in Olton, with Pastor Arturo DeLaCruz, officiating. Interment will follow at Hart Cemetery in Hart under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, May 30, 2021, at Ramage Funeral Directors in Olton and from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday, May 31, 2021, at Trinity Baptist Church in Olton. A praise service will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Monday, May 31, at Trinity Baptist Church.
Omar was born March 14, 1985, in Parral, Chihuahua, Mexico, to Eduardo and Marina (Dominguez) Chavez. A lifetime area resident, Totito was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Olton. He was a farmer and loved being outdoors and working on the farm. Omar was a "mama's boy" and loved his mother dearly. Getting together with friends and family and cooking out were some of his favorite things to do. Totito also enjoyed singing and was a loving uncle who will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his father, Eduardo Chavez and a sister, Eva Alicia Chavez.
Survivors include his mother, Marina Chavez Dominguez of Hart, three brothers, Rodrigo Chavez and Cruz Chavez, both of Friona, and Jose Chavez of Hart, and five sisters, Maria Chavez of Plainview, Eloisa Rodriguez of Hart, Imelda Guevara of Hart, Griselda Chavez of Friona, and Edith Chavez of Olton. He was blessed with numerous nieces and nephews.
