Ona Cain, 94, of Olton and formerly of Pleasant Grove, Alabama, died Friday, February 26, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, February 29, 2016, at the First Baptist Church in Springlake with Brother Rob Norris and Brother Ryan Reese officiating. Interment will follow at Springlake Cemetery under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors of Olton. The family will receive friends at Ramage Funeral Directors in Olton from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M., Sunday, February 28, 2016.

Ona Viola Cain was born December 3, 1921 in New Hope, Mississippi to Jim and Garlie (Davis) Rinks. She was raised in Jordan Creek, Mississippi and on March 17, 1940, Ona married Hollis Cain, Sr. Together they moved to Pleasant Grove, Alabama where Ona was an excellent furniture saleslady. She was an active member of the Pleasant Grove community. Ona loved to sing and she was a member of the Amazing Grays Choir at the First Baptist Church in Pleasant Grove. Moving to Olton in 2006, Ona was a member of the First Baptist Church in Springlake.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hollis Cain, Sr. in 2014, five sisters and two brothers.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Hollis Cain, Jr. and his wife, Charlotte of Springlake, and three granddaughters, Cathy Hill and her husband, Johnny of Austin, Connie Burt and her husband, Mitchel of Littlefield, and Suzanne Reese and her husband, Ryan of Springlake. She was blessed with 16 great-grandchildren.
