Otis Ray King, 80, of Springlake, died Friday, November 9, 2018, in Lubbock. Services will be at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, November 13, 2018, at the First Baptist Church in Springlake with Brother Rob Norris and Brother Glenn Harlin officiating. Interment will follow at Littlefield Memorial Park in Littlefield under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors. The family will receive friends at Ramage Funeral Directors in Olton from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Monday, November 12, 2018.
Otis was born December 15, 1937 to Elmer and Irene (Bell) King. Otis married Norma Jean Jones on January 24, 1958, in Springlake. He was a lifetime Springlake area resident and a member of the Springlake First Baptist Church. A hard-working man who loved farming and working with his cows, Otis also enjoyed antique tractors and gospel singing. He was a former member of the Springlake Lions Club and was Springlake's Farm Family of the Year in 1976. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife Jean King of Springlake, four daughters, Kathy Williams and her husband Rick of Canyon, Beverly Brown and her husband Mike of Lubbock, Cheryl Brown of New Braunfels, and Vickie Wilhelm and her husband Tim of Amarillo. He was blessed with ten grandchildren: Amber Williams, Christopher Brown, Adam Brown, Garrett Williams, Justin Brown, Bradley Brown, Dylan Wilhelm, Colt Williams, Lauren Wilhelm, Brittany Wilhelm, and one great-granddaughter, Kaylie Rae Brown.
