Pedro Sanchez, Jr., 80, of Hale Center, died Wednesday, November 25, 2020, in Lubbock, Texas.  Rosary will be said at 6:00 p.m., Monday, November 30, 2020, at Ramage Funeral Directors in Hale Center.  Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 1, 2020, at Hale Center Cemetery in Hale Center with Fr. Jacob Powell officiating and under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.  Viewing will be held from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., Monday, November 30, 2020, at Ramage Funeral Directors.

Born December 10, 1939, in San Ignacio, Chihuahua, Mexico, Pedro was the son of Pedro Sr. and Ascencion (Rojas) Sanchez.  He married Maria Vera on February 13, 1962, in Mexico.  A lifetime area resident, Pedro was a member of St. Theresa's Catholic Church and was a farmer.  He could always be found lending a helping hand to his children or anyone in need.  A very hard worker, Pedro enjoyed fixing cars and working on the farm.  He was very self-sufficient and loved tending his garden and chickens.  Pedro was a strong family man who could solve any problem and could make every grandchild feel special.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Pedro Sanchez III, two brothers, and four sisters.

Pedro is survived by his wife, Maria Sanchez of Hale Center, two sons, Manuel Sanchez and wife Velma of Plainview and Juan Sanchez and wife Alice of Hale Center, and eight daughters, Gracie Rodriquez, Rosa Salas, Blanca Baca and husband Freddy, Maria Borrego, Maggie Sanchez, Beatrice Sanchez, all of Hale Center, Adriana Sanchez of Lubbock, and Julie Castillo and husband Charlie of Hale Center.  He was blessed with 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
