Rachel Pittillo, 80, of Olton, passed away Saturday, February 18, 2017, in Lubbock. Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, February 21, 2017, at the First Baptist Church in Olton with Brother David Azam and Brother Rob Norris officiating. Interment will follow at Olton Cemetery under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.
Rachel was born February 16, 1937, in Duncan, Oklahoma. A lifetime Olton resident, Rachel was a member of First Baptist Church. She married Billy Pittillo in Portales, N.M., on December 7, 1954. Involved as a 4-H and Cub Scout leader, she enjoyed sewing, crafts, cooking, and working in the yard. Rachel especially loved spending time with her family and loving on her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wallace and Julia Dempsey, and her husband, Billy Pittillo.
Survivors include three sons, Kent Pittillo of Abernathy, Mickey Pittillo of Olton, and Rodney Pittillo of Olton, a brother, George Holt of Tacoma, WA, and three sisters, Peggy Morris of Edenville, WA, Glenda Parker of New Jersey, and Karen Hockaday of Allyn, WA. She was blessed with five grandchildren: Robby, Kristi, Kyle, Aaron, and Amanda and eight great-grandchildren: Jase, Rylie, Kaden, Kason, Austin, Ashtin, Harper, and Everly.
