Rafael Hernandez Tristan, 56, of Olton, died Saturday, January 27, 2018, in Beaumont.  Rosary will be said at 6:00 P.M., Wednesday, January 31, 2018, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Olton.  Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, February 1, 2018, at St. Peter's Catholic Church with Fr. Sylvester DSouza officiating.  Interment will follow at Olton Cemetery under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.

Rafael was born February 24, 1961, in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, to Leandro and Paula Tristan Hernandez.  A lifetime Olton resident, Rafael was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church.  He married Adelaida Guerrero on May 14, 1983, in Mexico.  Rafael was a hardworking man and enjoyed being outdoors.  He was a loving father and will be greatly missed.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Genaro Hernandez.

Survivors include his parents, Leandro and Paula Hernandez of San Luis Potosi, Mexico, his wife, Adelaida Hernandez of Olton, his son, Francisco Hernandez of Olton, four daughters, Anita Hernandez of Olton, Maria Hernandez of Lubbock, Marilu Hernandez of Coleman, and Jessica Hernandez of Olton, three brothers, Andres Hernandez and Pablo Hernandez, both of San Luis Potosi, Mexico and Luis Hernandez of Beaumont, and four sisters, Francisca Balderas of San Luis Potosi, Mexico, Imelda Magana, Maricela Gonzales and Rosa Sifuentes, all of Beaumont.  He was blessed with nine grandchildren.
