Obituary

Ray Weldon Lehman was born on April 8, 1945 to Walter and Lottie Lehman of Lockett Texas
and left his earthly body behind on November 23, 2021.

He was 5th, of seven children, including 4 brothers and two sisters. In June of 1965, he married
the love of his life, Betty, and they lived in Olton Texas in those early years. Ray was a
salesman by nature and began his career working in grocery stores before owning and
operating his own little store, the Kress Superette, in Kress Texas. He later went on to be
employed at Sears & Roebuck in Plainview Texas and then Frito Lay later in life.

Ray enjoyed being active and providing for his wife and three sons. He enjoyed traveling and fishing and
gardening when he could. Ray loved the Lord and he loved worshiping by listening and
singing old hymns (even though he could not carry a tune).

Ray has been preceded in death by his brothers, Gary and Jim Lehman and his sister Bettye Wolfe.

Survivors currently include his brothers Teddy and Paul Lehman and sister Sarah Tucker. He is also survived by his wife
Betty and their sons Rodney, Cory and Justin. Ray has two Daughters in Law, seven
grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

A come and go gathering to celebrate Ray's life will be held at 15000 Mescalero Trail in Amarillo, at the home of Rodney Lehman, on December 4th, 2021 at 10:00am.
