Obituary

Reta McClenney, 81, of Olton, died Monday, November 23, 2020, in Olton.  Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 30, 2020, at Olton Cemetery in Olton with Brother David Azam officiating and under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.  Viewing will be from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, November 29, 2020, at Ramage Funeral Directors in Olton.

Reta was born December 4, 1938, in Lamb County, Texas, to John Winton and Juanita Mae (Williams) Hackler.  She graduated in 1957 from Cloud Chief, Oklahoma, and moved to Olton in 1962.  On October 26, 1962, Reta married the love of her life, Bill McClenney, in Olton.  Her work experience included a couple of years as a teacher's aide for Cotton Center ISD, five years at the Flower Shop in Olton, and from 1992 to 1995, at Suzy's Zoo Daycare in Olton.  A member of the First Baptist Church, Reta loved arranging flowers and was an awesome cook.  Ceramics, painting, and crocheting were also some of her favorite things to do.  Most of all, Reta loved her children, grandchildren, and spending time with her family.

Reta was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Bruce Hackler and Jake Hackler and two sisters, Alice Hackler and Cathelle Seago.

Survivors include her husband, Bill McClenney of Olton, sons, Billy McClenney and wife Tammy of Abernathy and Jeff McClenney and wife Tonya of Edmonson, daughter, Lisa Bryant and husband Wayne of Abilene, two brothers, Curtis Hackler of Charlotte, NC and Ed Hackler and wife Pansie of Colorado, twin sister, Greta Davis and husband Jimmy Ray of Hart, and two sister-in-laws, Lena Hackler of Amarillo and Betty Slaughter of Levelland.  She was blessed with eight grandchildren: Reta Adkins and husband Matt, Shaunna Luikens and husband Zane, Danielle Waddell and husband Jon, Meagan Newman and husband Michael, Maecee Coleman, Michaela McClenney, Ethan McClenney, and Kember Turner and husband Tucker and nine great-grandchildren: Miley, Gunner, Jude, Kross, Krey, Matthew, Autumn, Haydee, and Brystol.

The family suggests memorials be made to the First Baptist Church PO Box 408 Olton, Texas 79064, or the Olton Cemetery Association PO Box 1055 Olton, Texas 79064.
