Richard Martinez, 75, of Boyd, Texas and formerly of Hale Center, Texas, died Friday, August 16, 2024, in Boyd.  A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 24, 2024, at St. Theresa's Catholic Church, in Hale Center, with Fr. Alex Ambrose officiating and arranged by Ramage Funeral Directors.

Richard was born August 11, 1949, in Hale Center, Texas, to Simon and Eloisa Martinez.  He graduated from Hale Center High School in 1967 and went on to join the United States Air Force.  Richard was an amazing father, brother, uncle, and friend and will be missed dearly.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Simon and Eloisa Martinez and a sister, Olga Leon.

Survivors include his daughters, Monica Haller, Rachel Martinez, and Erica Escobar (Manuel) and his sisters, Anita Betancur, Irene Martinez, Bebe Gomez, and Minerva Martinez.  He was blessed with six grandchildren.
