IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Richard
Reyes
August 18, 1956 – May 25, 2021
Richard "Crazy Bear" Reyes, 64, of Springlake, died Tuesday, May 25, 2021, in Earth, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 28, 2021, at Iglesia Del Pueblo (IDP) in Earth, with Pastor Armando DeLeon, Jr., officiating. Interment will follow at Earth Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors. Viewing will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 27, 2021, at IDP in Earth.
Richard was born, the 15th of 20 children, on August 18, 1956, to Eusebio and Francisca (Salinas) Reyes, in Bryan, Texas. A lifetime area resident, Richard loved being outside and was a hard worker at whatever task he was given, whether on the farm or being a carpenter. He started his journey with the love of his life, Tammy Fulenwider, over 20 years ago and was saved in Christ over 14 years ago. Being saved in Christ changed his life, but he never lost his sense of humor and kept people laughing. Richard was a very loving and giving person and always thought of others before himself. He became a mighty prayer warrior and often spent hours praying for friends and family by name. A friend to all who met him, Richard will be missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Miguel Reyes, Abel Reyes, and Jesse Reyes, and sisters, Erlinda Duran, Isabel Reyes, Francisca Reyes, and Yolanda Frias.
Survivors include his wife, Tammy Fulenwider of Springlake, five brothers, Antonio Reyes of Earth, Eusebio Reyes, Jr. and wife Sally of Bryan, Lupe Reyes of Bryan, Victor Reyes and wife Eva of Littlefield, and Francisco Reyes and wife Lupe of Springlake, and four sisters, Maria Herrera and husband Armando of Plainview, Maggie Monreal and husband J.R. of Earth, Alicia Ramirez of Plainview, and Celia Reyes of Dimmitt. He was blessed with over 200 nieces and nephews, who all loved him very much.
