Robert "Bob" Murray

Robert P. “Bob” Murray, 77, of Carrollton, Texas, died Friday, May 15, 2026, in Plano, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, May 29, 2026, at Olton Cemetery in Olton, Texas, under the care of Ramage Funeral Directors.

Bob was born October 26, 1948, in Dallas County, Texas, to Perice and Ann Ella Murray. He grew up in Highland Park and later earned his engineering degree, going on to work as a mechanical engineer throughout his career.

On December 23, 1992, he married Doris Jefferies, beginning a marriage that spanned more than thirty-three years. Bob owned and operated Precision Karting and later A&P Leasing in Dallas and Decatur. A lifelong racing enthusiast, he especially enjoyed go kart racing, collecting antique cars, and restoring and admiring classic automobiles. Engines, chrome, and the scent of a garage workshop were part of the landscape of his happiest days. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

Survivors include his wife, Doris Jefferies-Murray of Carrollton, Texas, and one sister, Judy Frank of Portland,
