Obituary
Robert "Bob" Hipp, 92, of Olton, died Tuesday, January 19 in Olton. Memorial services will be at 11:00 AM, Thursday, January 21 at First Baptist Church in Olton with Brother Patrick Hamilton officiating and under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.
Mr. Hipp was born July 9, 1917 in Lawton, OK to Robert Y. Haynes Hipp and Ida Williamson Hipp. He moved to Olton in 1932 and married Helen L. Cowart on April 5, 1939. He was a farmer for 36 years and attended the First Baptist Church.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Helen in 2007, two sisters, Jewel Strasner and Pauline Jones, and two brothers, Orvill Hipp and Paul Hipp.
He is survived by his son, Mike Hipp and his wife, LaVerna of Sulphur Springs, his daughter, Karen Hipp of Conroe, two grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church P.O. Box 408 Olton, TX 79064, Runningwater Draw Care Center P.O. Box 409 Olton, TX 79064, or the Olton Volunteer Ambulance Association P.O. Box 1087 Olton, TX 79064.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 7 PM, Wednesday, January 20.
