Roberto L. Diaz, 79, of Olton, died Sunday, December 9, 2019, in Olton.  Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, December 12, 2019, at Olton Cemetery with Mr. Joe Carrasco officiating and under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.

Roberto was born the son of Everisto and Amada (Ledesma) Diaz on March 21, 1940, in Tahoka, Texas.  He moved to Olton in 1953 and graduated from Olton High School in 1961.  In 1963, Roberto married Guadalupe Alvarez and they had three children.  Roberto worked for Cargill for over 28 years.  A very spiritual man, Roberto was a good father and will be missed.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Guadalupe, in 1977, and two sons, Gilbert and Alberto Diaz.

Survivors include his sons, Martin Diaz and Lee Diaz, both of Olton, his daughter, Sonya Diaz of Cotton Center, a brother, Alejandro Diaz of Victoria, and a sister, Dalia Diaz of Olton.  He was blessed with two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
