Rosalba Rodriguez de Dorantes, 53, and Eduardo Dorantes-Gutierrez, 60, both of Olton, died Monday, June 10, 2019, near Plainview, Texas. Rosary will be said at 7:00 PM, Sunday, June 16, 2019, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Olton. A double mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, Monday, June 17, 2019, at St. Peter's Catholic Church with Fr. Reymundo Manriquez officiating and under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Saturday, June 15, and from 12:00 PM to 5:30 PM, Sunday, June 16, at Ramage Funeral Directors in Olton.
Rosalba was born January 14, 1966, in Naica, Chihuahua, Mexico, to Francisco and Carmen Chavez Rodriguez. Eduardo was born April 8, 1959, in Mexico City, Mexico, to Jesus and Estela Gutierrez Dorantes. Eduardo attended UNAM University in Mexico City and was a veterinarian. Eduardo and Rosalba were married in October of 1986 and moved to the Olton area in 2004. Members of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Rosalba was involved with the Cursillistas and the Guadalupanas. Both Eduardo and Rosalba were dreamers and very ambitious. Eduardo loved taking care of animals and was very family oriented. He was a great dad, grandfather, and friend. Rosalba was a strong lady who took care of everyone, family and friends alike. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and both Eduardo and Rosalba will be greatly missed.
Rosalba was preceded in death by her parents. Eduardo was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Arturo Dorantes Gutierrez.
Those left to cherish their memories include their children, Jesus Francisco Dorantes Rodriguez, Pablo Eduardo Dorantes Rodriguez, Alberto Javier Dorantes Rodriguez, Liliana Dorantes Rodriguez, and Mari Carmen Dorantes Rodriguez, all of Olton. Rosalba had one brother and two sisters, Francisco Javier Rodriguez of Riverside, CA, Ayde Syed of Sacramento, CA, and Hilda Rodriguez of Las Vegas, NV. Eduardo had two brothers and a sister, Alberto Dorantes Gutierrez, Carlos Dorantes Gutierrez, and Sara Gabriela Dorantes Gutierrez, all of Mexico City, Mexico. They were blessed with five grandchildren.
