Royce Collins, 81, of Olton, died Friday, August 21, 2009 in Olton. Services will be 2:00 PM, Sunday, August 23, 2009 at First Baptist Church in Olton with Brother Patrick Hamilton and Rev. Ronnie Newton officiating. Interment will follow at Olton Cemetery under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.

Royce was born November 6, 1927 in Hawley, TX. He married Mary Newton, December 31, 1947 in Hawley and moved to Olton in 1949. He was a member of First Baptist Church and was a farmer. He served on the Olton ISD Board of Directors for 15 years, the Olton Coop Gin Board and the Stock Show Board for many years. He was also on the High Plains Water Board, the Lamb County ASCS Board, and was chosen Olton's Farmer of the Year in 1975.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary, in March of 2009 and two brothers.

He is survived by a son, Danny Collins and his wife, Quenette of Olton, a daughter, Leisa Lewis of Amarillo, and one sister, Margaret Stephenson of Idalou. He was blessed with four grandchildren, LaDanda Kauffman, Casey Collins, Dustin Lewis, and Kody Lewis, and four great grandchildren, Hunter and Kasen Kauffman and Kenleigh and Karter Lewis.
