Ruben Ruiz, 48, of Abernathy and formerly of Hale Center, died Wednesday, March 13, 2024, in Lubbock, Texas.  Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, March 15, 2024, at Ramage Funeral Directors in Hale Center. No services are scheduled at this time.

Ruben was born December 26, 1975, in Hale Center, Texas, to Raul and Erma (Limon) Ruiz.  He graduated from high school in 1993 in Wauchula, Florida. A lifetime area resident, Ruben worked at S&H Seed in Plainview as a foreman.  Ruben loved to watch cowboy shows, UFC fighting, and especially the Dallas Cowboys. Rebuilding cars, driving around listening to music, and cooking were also favorites of Ruben's. Most of all, Ruben enjoyed watching his daughter, Zariah, play softball and spending time with his grandson, Kingston.

Ruben was preceded in death by his grandparents, his mother, Erma Ruiz and a brother, Raul Ruiz, Jr.

Survivors include his father, Raul Ruiz and his wife Victoria of Hale Center, his wife, Amy Rodriguez of Abernathy, his son, Zayden Rodriguez of Plainview, his daughter, Zariah Ruiz of Abernathy, four brothers, Rogelio Ruiz of Florida, Ramon Ruiz of Abernathy, Roland Ruiz of Plainview, and Richard Rosales of Seminole and three sisters, Nina Ruiz of Fort Worth, Rosie Plasencio of Hale Center, and Roxanne Ruiz of Hale Center.  He was blessed with a grandson, Kingston Limon Rodriguez.
