Obituary
Ruben Ramirez, Sr. passed away March 8, 2008 in Lubbock. Rosary services were at 6:00 PM, Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at St. Peter's Catholic Church. Mass will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at St. Peter's Catholic Church with Father John Smith presiding. Burial will follow in Olton Cemetery.
Mr. Ramirez was born May 21, 1947 in Rosales, Chihuahua. He married Noemi Guerrero, September 10, 1976 in Littlefield. He moved to Olton in 1988 from Arizona and was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. He was a farmer and loved horses.
Survivors include his wife, Noemi Ramirez of Olton, two sons, Ruben Ramirez, Jr. of Lubbock, Gaspar Ramirez of Olton, two daughters, Laura Ramirez of Olton, Melissa Ramirez of Midland, three brothers, Humberto Ramirez, Adan Ramirez, Efren Ramirez all of Chihuahua, three sisters, Eva Ramirez and Maria Ramirez of Chihuahua, and Estella Magallanes of Levelland, three stepsons, Pete Cervantez of Dumas, Marcelino Cervantez of Odessa, and Santiago Cervantez of Hereford, one stepdaughter, Claudia Rincon of Juarez, thirteen grandchildren and Joe and Alicia Sanchez, best friend and son.
